Key terms at a glance

GuyID verifies identity and collects vouches — it does NOT guarantee safety or conduct background checks. You must be 18+. Premium is $12.99/mo USD, cancel anytime. Your trust profile is public. Vouches are the opinions of the voucher. Government IDs are never stored by GuyID. Ontario, Canada law governs these Terms.

1. Agreement to terms

These Terms of Service ("Terms") constitute a legally binding agreement between you ("you", "your", or "user") and GuyID Inc. ("GuyID", "we", "us", or "our"), a Canadian corporation headquartered in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. By accessing or using guyid.com and its associated services (the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service. We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email or prominent notice on the platform. Your continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

2. Eligibility

To use GuyID, you must: • Be at least 18 years of age • Be legally capable of entering into a binding agreement • Not have been previously banned or removed from the Service • Provide accurate and truthful information during registration By creating an account, you represent and warrant that you meet all eligibility requirements. GuyID reserves the right to verify your age through our identity verification process and to terminate accounts that do not meet these requirements.

3. Account registration

To use certain features of GuyID, you must create an account. You agree to: • Provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration • Maintain the security of your password and account credentials • Promptly update your information if it changes • Accept responsibility for all activity that occurs under your account • Not create more than one account per person • Not transfer or share your account with any other person You may register using email/password or through third-party OAuth providers (Google, LinkedIn, Facebook). When using OAuth, you authorize GuyID to access your basic profile information as permitted by your privacy settings on those platforms. GuyID reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

4. The trust profile

GuyID provides users with a public trust profile accessible at guyid.com/u/[username]. By creating a profile, you understand and agree that: • Your profile is publicly accessible to anyone with the link or through the Trust Directory • Your display name, profile photo, city, trust tier, verification status, vouch count, and approved vouches are visible to the public • Numeric trust scores are internal to GuyID and are never displayed publicly — only tier names (Ghost, Starter, Builder, Trusted, Elite, Legend) are shown • Your trust tier is calculated based on actions you take (uploading a photo, verifying email, linking social accounts, receiving vouches, completing identity verification) • GuyID does not guarantee any specific outcome from having a trust profile, including dating success, safety, or personal outcomes • You are responsible for the accuracy of information you provide on your profile

5. Trust tiers

GuyID uses a tier system to represent trust progression: • Ghost (0 pts): New account, minimal actions completed • Starter (15 pts): Basic profile setup completed • Builder (35 pts): Multiple trust signals connected • Trusted (60 pts): Strong trust profile with vouches and verification — the highest free tier • Elite (85 pts): Highest active tier — requires an active Premium subscription plus earning the tier through trust-building actions • Legend (99 pts): Reserved for founding members — requires Premium subscription and maximum trust signals Free users can earn up to 84 trust points and reach the Trusted tier. The Elite and Legend tiers require both an active Premium subscription ($12.99/mo) and sufficient trust signals. Tier placement is determined by an internal scoring system. GuyID reserves the right to modify the tier calculation methodology at any time. Tiers may change if trust signals are removed (e.g., a vouch is deleted, a social connection is unlinked, or a subscription expires).

6. Identity verification

GuyID offers identity verification through our partner Didit. By initiating verification, you agree to: • Submit a valid government-issued ID for processing • Complete liveness detection and/or facial matching as required by the verification process • Allow Didit to process your ID for verification purposes Verification tiers: • Basic verification (free): Government ID check confirming legal identity • Enhanced verification (Premium): Government ID, liveness detection, age confirmation, IP analysis, and facial matching IMPORTANT: • Government ID images are processed by Didit and are NOT stored by GuyID • Only verification status (verified/not verified), verification type, and timestamp are retained by GuyID • Verification confirms identity — it does NOT constitute a background check, criminal record check, or character assessment • GuyID makes no representations about the safety, character, or intentions of any verified user • Supported ID types and countries are determined by our verification partner Didit and may change

7. Vouches and voice vouches

GuyID allows third parties ("vouchers") to submit character vouches for registered users ("vouchees"). By participating in the vouch system, you agree to: As a vouchee: • You may request vouches from people who know you personally • You have the right to approve or reject any vouch before it appears on your profile • You may delete approved vouches after a 1-week protection period • You are not permitted to coerce, incentivize, or fabricate vouches As a voucher: • You confirm that your vouch represents your honest assessment of the person • You may optionally record a voice vouch (audio message) that may be played on the vouchee's public profile • You understand that your name, relationship type, and vouch text will be publicly displayed on the vouchee's trust profile (unless you choose to vouch anonymously) • You may request removal of your vouch by contacting the vouchee or GuyID support Voice vouch playback on public profiles: • Free profiles: 1 voice vouch is playable on the public profile • Premium profiles: Up to 10 voice vouches are playable on the public profile • Voice vouches beyond these limits are indicated as available but not playable until the profile owner upgrades • Profile owners can always listen to all their voice vouches in their dashboard regardless of subscription status Vouch authentication: • Vouchers may authenticate via LinkedIn, Google, or email verification • LinkedIn and Google-authenticated vouches carry higher trust weight • Email vouches require email verification before activation • GuyID employs anti-gaming measures including rate limiting, mutual vouch detection, and ring detection GuyID does not verify the accuracy of vouch content. Vouches represent the personal opinions of the voucher. GuyID reserves the right to remove vouches that violate these Terms, contain abusive content, or appear to be fraudulent.

8. Trust Directory

GuyID operates a public Trust Directory at guyid.com/discover that lists user profiles meeting minimum criteria (profile photo uploaded, minimum trust tier achieved). By meeting the listing criteria, your profile may automatically appear in the Trust Directory. You agree that: • Your display name, age, city, trust tier, profile photo, verification status, and vouch count may be displayed in the directory • Premium subscribers receive priority placement (listed above free users) and enhanced visual styling • The Trust Directory is a discovery tool — it is NOT a dating service, matchmaking platform, or introduction service • GuyID does not facilitate introductions, messages, or direct communication between users through the Trust Directory You can de-list yourself from the Trust Directory by removing your profile photo or contacting support.

9. Premium subscription

GuyID offers a Premium subscription at $12.99 USD per month ("Premium"). By subscribing, you agree to: • Authorize recurring monthly charges to your payment method via Stripe • Accept that Premium features are unlocked only while your subscription is active Premium features include: • Enhanced identity verification (liveness detection, age confirmation, IP analysis, facial matching) • Ability to reach Elite and Legend tiers (85+ and 99 pts respectively) • Elite badge on public profile, trust card, and trust credential • Up to 10 voice vouches playable on your public profile (free users get 1) • Full profile view analytics (viewer names, photos, locations, view duration, scroll depth, repeat tracking, most curious viewer, device breakdown, traffic sources, and sharing detection) • Priority placement in the Trust Directory (listed above free users) • Priority support Cancellation: • You may cancel your Premium subscription at any time from Account Settings → Subscription • Upon cancellation, Premium features remain active until the end of the current billing period • After expiration, your trust profile, vouches, and verification status remain — but Premium-only features are deactivated • Your trust score is recalculated upon expiration: scores are capped at 84 (free maximum) and your tier may be downgraded from Elite to Trusted • Voice vouches beyond the free limit (1) will show as locked on your public profile but are not deleted • You may resubscribe at any time to restore Premium features and Elite tier eligibility Refunds: • Premium subscriptions are non-refundable except where required by applicable law • GuyID reserves the right to offer promotional pricing, trial periods, or credits at its sole discretion

10. Profile view analytics

GuyID provides profile view analytics to profile owners. By viewing another user's public trust profile, you acknowledge that: • Your visit may be logged (page view, view duration, sections viewed, device type, referral source) • If you are a registered GuyID user, your name and city may be visible to the profile owner if they have a Premium subscription • Free profile owners can see total view counts and the city of their most recent viewer, but detailed viewer information is blurred • Anonymous visitors are identified only by city (if available) and a hashed session identifier — raw IP addresses are never stored by GuyID • Self-views are excluded from analytics • GuyID does not guarantee the accuracy or completeness of analytics data

11. Prohibited conduct

You agree NOT to: • Provide false or misleading information on your profile or during verification • Create fake accounts or multiple accounts • Fabricate, coerce, or purchase vouches • Use GuyID to harass, stalk, threaten, or harm any person • Use GuyID for any illegal purpose • Scrape, crawl, or data-mine the Trust Directory or any profile data • Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Service • Impersonate any person or entity • Circumvent any security measures or access controls • Use automated tools (bots, scripts) to access the Service • Sell, transfer, or monetize your GuyID account or profile • Post abusive, defamatory, or harassing content in vouches or profile fields • Use GuyID to promote commercial products or services without authorization Violation of these terms may result in immediate account suspension or termination, vouch removal, and/or legal action.

12. Intellectual property

GuyID and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by GuyID Inc. and are protected by Canadian and international copyright, trademark, and intellectual property laws. The GuyID name, logo, "Trust Credential", trust tier system, and associated branding are trademarks of GuyID Inc. You retain ownership of content you submit to GuyID (profile information, photos, vouch text, voice recordings). By submitting content, you grant GuyID a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, display, and distribute that content in connection with the Service. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or lease any part of the Service, nor may you reverse-engineer or attempt to extract the source code of the Service.

13. Content guidelines

All content submitted to GuyID (profile information, vouches, voice recordings, photos) must comply with the following guidelines: • Must be truthful and not intentionally misleading • Must not contain hate speech, discrimination, or harassment • Must not contain explicit sexual content or nudity • Must not contain threats of violence or promotion of illegal activity • Must not infringe on any third party's intellectual property rights • Must not contain personal information of others without their consent • Voice vouch recordings must not contain copyrighted music or third-party content GuyID reserves the right to remove any content that violates these guidelines without prior notice.

14. Limitation of liability

IMPORTANT — PLEASE READ CAREFULLY: GuyID is a trust verification platform. It is NOT a dating service, safety guarantee, or background check provider. GuyID DOES NOT: • Guarantee the safety, character, or intentions of any user — verified or unverified • Conduct criminal background checks • Guarantee that any user's information is accurate, complete, or current • Accept responsibility for interactions, dates, or relationships initiated through or because of GuyID • Guarantee that verification prevents fraud, misrepresentation, or harm TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW: • GuyID is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" without warranties of any kind • GuyID Inc. shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages • GuyID Inc.'s total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid to GuyID in the 12 months preceding the claim • You assume all risk associated with using trust profiles for dating or any other purpose Always meet in public places, trust your instincts, and take personal safety precautions regardless of any trust profile or verification status.

15. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless GuyID Inc., its officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, costs, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from: • Your use of the Service • Your violation of these Terms • Your violation of any rights of a third party • Any content you submit to the Service • Any claim that your content caused damage to a third party This indemnification obligation survives termination of your account and these Terms.

16. Dispute resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein, without regard to conflict of law provisions. Any dispute arising from these Terms or the Service shall be resolved as follows: 1. Informal resolution: You agree to first attempt to resolve any dispute informally by contacting us at ceo@guyid.com. We will attempt to resolve the dispute within 30 days. 2. Mediation: If informal resolution fails, either party may initiate non-binding mediation in Ottawa, Ontario. 3. Litigation: If mediation fails, disputes shall be submitted to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the Province of Ontario, Canada. You agree that any claims shall be brought in your individual capacity and not as a class action or representative proceeding.

17. Account termination

You may delete your account at any time by contacting ceo@guyid.com. GuyID reserves the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time, without prior notice, for: • Violation of these Terms • Fraudulent or illegal activity • Creating fake profiles or fabricating vouches • Abusive behavior toward other users or GuyID staff • Extended inactivity (accounts inactive for 24+ months may be deactivated) Upon termination: • Your public trust profile will be removed • Your vouches will be removed from others' profiles • Your voice vouch recordings will be deleted • Verification status may be retained for fraud prevention • Active Premium subscriptions will not be refunded for the current billing period • Data deletion will follow the retention periods outlined in our Privacy Policy

18. Third-party services

GuyID integrates with third-party services including Stripe (payments), Didit (identity verification), Supabase (infrastructure), Cloudflare (security), and various OAuth providers (Google, LinkedIn, Facebook). These services are governed by their own terms and privacy policies. GuyID is not responsible for the availability, accuracy, or practices of third-party services. By using features that rely on third-party services, you agree to comply with those services' terms. GuyID is not liable for any loss or damage caused by third-party service failures or changes.

19. Disclaimer regarding safety

GuyID verifies identity and collects peer vouches but DOES NOT guarantee anyone's safety. • A verified trust profile does not mean a person is safe to meet • Vouches represent personal opinions and may not reflect the full picture • Trust tiers are based on platform activity, not character assessment • No technology can fully prevent fraud, deception, or harm Always: • Meet in public places for first meetings • Tell a friend or family member where you are going • Trust your instincts — if something feels wrong, leave • Report concerning behavior to GuyID and local authorities GuyID encourages responsible use of trust profiles as ONE factor in personal safety decisions, not the sole factor.

20. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid by a court of competent jurisdiction, that provision shall be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.

21. Entire agreement

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy (guyid.com/privacy-policy), constitute the entire agreement between you and GuyID Inc. regarding your use of the Service. These Terms supersede any prior agreements, communications, or understandings between you and GuyID regarding the Service.
